Imre and Piroska live an isolated and poor life mining charcoal. Their quiet life is disturbed by the rising numbers of foreign tourists who come to see "real forest people" among other touristic attractions. Between the hard work and pictures with tourists, they dream about winning the lottery with a very personal combination of numbers. Yet, every morning, weather forecasts and the lottery drawing announce the beginning of another hard day.
Marius Iacob has worked as a cinematographer and has also co-directed short films that were screened in many international festivals. He provided the photography for Oxygen (2010, director Adina Pintilie). Marius Iacob was also the cinematographer of Flying Shepherd (produced by Aristoteles Workshop). In 2009 he co-founded the production company Manekino Film. This is his first film as a director and the second one produced by Manekino Film.
