Atlantic Produce Togo is a company that produces and exports decorative plants. Due to the benefits it guarantees its 90 employees, it is considered a social model in Togo. But in August 2006, it found itself the verge of bankruptcy. Tony, a young French-Togolese man, decides to buy it to save the employees. However, the situation remained fragile and, driven by financial difficulties and pressure from his European customers, Tony is forced to question the social gains that he wanted to protect.
Born in 1977, Jean-Gabriel Tregoat studied history in Toulouse then moved to England where he began studying cinematography which he continued in Cuba. After having held various positions on several short and medium length films, including DOP on El Espino, Body Double XX, he shot his first feature film as a director, Atlantic Produce Togo s.a..
Born in 1979, Penda Houzangbe grew up in Lomé, Togo. She studied cinema in France at the Louis Lumière School, then in Cuba. After directing a couple short films, she worked primarily as an editor (Linge Sale, fiction, 1395 Days Without Red). Atlantic Produce Togo s.a is her first featured film as a director.
