The fate of a Beijing woman and a New York man will be inextricably linked because of a common belief. Jennifer Zeng, a mother and a model citizen, was imprisoned for her belief in Falun Gong. As she suffers physical and mental torture, she must decide: either stand firm and languish in prison or give up to her faith in order to tell her story to the world? In the United States, Charles Lee, a businessman, takes a stand to stop this kind of persecution. But upon his arrival at Shanghai, the police of China arrest him and he is sentenced to three years of reeducation in a prison camp.
