Le bonheur ...terre promise - University of Sofia

Date & Time:
Wed, 08/05/2013 - 19:00 to 21:00

For two years, the Millenium Festival has developed a partnership with the Cultural Center of the university of Sofia. Since its beginning, it has grown up to become a popular event in the life of the university to such an extent that the seats are difficult to get if you don't come early. This is part of the initiative of the festival to introduce young audiences across Europe to quality documentary cinema related to the important issues of our time. Considering the difficulty of finding those documentary films on the web or in stores, screenings in vivid cultural places are unique events that moreover provoke strong reactions and interesting debates.

The film screened this Wednesday has won the special prize of the jury at the Millenium Festival 2012:

Le bonheur ...terre promise

Laurent Hasse, 94', 2011, France

He had forecast nothing, anticipated nothing. He left on a winter morning, alone, by foot, to cross the country from south to north. Just being on the road, undoing the tights and casting a new look on the land and the daily life of its inhabitants. For the encounters, he would rely on coincidence and on one question: "What is happiness?"

Moderator: Stefka Kaleva ( specialist of French cinema )
