In 2009, the German ship "Hansa Stavangar" was seized by Somali pirates for four months. This film tells a story overlooked by the headlines: the story of a friendship between the pirate leader, Ahado, and the captain, Krysztof Kotiuk. While help was slow to come, the captain gets closer to his enemies in a desperate attempt to save his crew. When both crew and company turn their backs on him, Ahado becomes his only confidant. But the pirate and the captain are destined to be enemies. A psychological drama that addresses existential questions on war and human understanding.
