In the center of Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital, is a small orphanage called “Little Heaven”. One of the orphans, Lydia, just turned 13. This means she can go to the “big school”, but she has an unpleasant surprise. It's at age 13 that the residents of “Little Heaven” learn that they are HIV positive from birth. This film is presented as a visual diary of a child: its friendship, its little secrets and its dreams, in spite of it all.
