Synopsis: 

Mathew is autistic. Intelligent and fragile, he spends most of his time in his cluttered apartment, recording telephone calls hoping that they will help him understand what people “really” mean. Matthew has set up a complex system to put some order in the chaos around him and to handle all the information that he is constantly struggling to organize. Little by little, the film reveals Matthew’s complex ways of thinking and the catastrophic consequences they have on him.

 

Bio Director: 

Marc Schmidt (1970) works as an independent director and sound mixer. After studying film (Utrecht University) and media arts (Tilburg's Art Academy), he worked as a sound engineer and video editor on several films. Directing documentaries raised his interest, and gradually became his main occupation.
