Synopsis: 

Documentary filmmaker Sean McAllister finds himself at the heart of History in early 2011, as the revolution is about to break out in Yemen. He follows Kais, a young father and tourist guide, for whom the revolution means the collapse of his business. To him, peace should be maintained at any cost. But prompted by McAllister, they both go to "Change Square", the center of the peaceful protests. Little by little, Kais gradually goes from being a skeptical outsider to becoming an active participant.

 

Bio Director: 

Sean McAllister graduated from the National Film School of England in 1996. His first film, Working for the Enemy was nominated for the Royal Television Society Award. Sean followed up with The Minders, earning him another Royal Television Society Award Nomination. He then makes Settlers and Hull's Angel.  Sean's recent films are The Reluctant Revolutionary, Japan: A Story of Love and Hate and The Liberace of Baghdad.
