Four maids work at the “El Pasajero” motel where customers stay only a few hours. The rooms don't have to be particularly nice. The important thing is the bed where couples can indulge in their carnal passions, sometimes under the influence of alcohol or drugs. All we see and hear of these visitors is a leg, a bodiless voice, and, as the film goes on, groans. But in spite of it all, the maids hold on to the idea that love is romantic.
Patricia Correa and Valentina Mac-Pherson both studied film in Chile and worked for television and films. Patricia received a scholarship to specialize in documentary filmmaking at Ateliers Varan in France. The Women and the Passenger is their first documentary film.
